We believe that convenience shouldn't be at the cost of the planet. Decades of single-use plastic usage is having an adverse impact on the planet and this is our solution. Made from sugarcane pulp, we have turned an agricultural waste into stylish disposable tableware.

Waste as a resource.

The dinnerware is made from sugarcane pulp that is left behind after the juice is extracted. High temperature moulds are used to convert the pulp into plates, bowls and other tableware. Turning what would have been an agricultural waste into highly useful products is sustainability at its best.

Be it a wedding, corporate event or a backyard barbecue, our eco-conscious tableware is a sensible option. They are perfect for zero waste parties, picnics, camping and outside events where it may not be possible to wash-up afterwards.

  • Sugarcane bagasse dinnerware is made from the fibre that is left behind after the juice is extracted from sugarcane. The fibre is mixed with water and pressed into shape using high temperature moulds.

  • Yes, the FOOGO Green plates are specifically designed for hot food and they're sturdy enough to handle hot meals without falling apart or becoming soggy.

  • Made from high density bagasse, the plates are much sturdier than paper and plastic tableware. They are leakproof and can be used with oily and greasy foods as well.

  • Yes, sugarcane bagasse dishes are safe to use in microwave, ideally for reheating food. They are fridge and freezer safe, making it easy to store excess food in the icy racks of the fridge and freezer.

  • Though designed for one-time use, sugarcane bagasse products are sturdy enough to be reused a few times. When used with non-sticky/non-greasy food, the plates and bowls can be wiped clean and reused.
