Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) also known as Lye/Caustic Soda is a highly corrosive compound. Caustic soda is used in many domestic and industrial applications and should be handled with caution.

This product is highly soluble in water and generates a lot of heat when dissolved (an exothermic reaction). Use extreme caution when adding product to water. Always add the product to water and not water to the product. Always add to cold water  - adding to hot water may cause it to boil and spatter.

The product can be used for various applications, including: Cooking / Oven Cleaning / Soap-Making / Drain Cleaner / Acid Neutralizer / Chemical Reagent / Paper Making / De-Greaser / Swimming Pool Treatment
